I don't hate Obama, not at all, but if I were going to, it would be for this reason: the man can WRITE. I remember reading "Dreams From My Father" in '04 and thinking, oh no, not fair. Not fair. Already got that Harvard degree and that U of C post and now a Senator in a landslide, and he's good-looking too, and it turns out that on top of all that, if he wanted to, he could write novels that people couldn't put down and get rich and influential THAT way too?

Sheer, pure, literary quill-pen envy. And I'm a woman; I can't imagine how bad my 'alpha wannabe' feelings would be if I were male.

I saw your other posts that you had a "feeling" and thus, created this poll. What was that feeling, if you don't mind sharing?

I don't hate him, but I don't think he is ready for the presidency. In all honesty, I feel he was hyped up and didn't really "deliver." That could very well change, as politics is any but static.

assumed Barack Obama belonged to the special interests, and the institutions. It seems like there's a feeling arund DU already that Obama is bought and paid for by special interests and lobbyists to the extent that he is doing far more harm then good as of now.

I hadn't seen anything like what you are describing, not saying it hasn't, considering the number of posts here. I will have to look closer. Do you think this is a majority opinion, or do you feel this may be just the feelings of a few vocal few? Since, I haven't really seen it, I am not sure who is saying what about him.
