This is fr***ing unbelievable! And that any could be undecided at this point just boggles my mind! Are they that selfish and self absorbed they can't uphold their own oath to defend the Constitution but prefer to defend their careers? I am enraged!

2. Maybe they just want to know we care.
Testing us - seeing if WE are up to the challenge too. I have to admit, it's been a very exciting week or so. We are involved and we are in this together.

4. If they are undecided that mean they are voting yes ...
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 04:04 PM by blueinindiana
Some may vote no when they are assured no filibuster will take place but will vote yes if they have too.

I know I seem to get alot of grief for bashing 'Democrats' but these DINO'S are more of problem them the Re thugs.

11. How do you know?
I tend to see it the other way - if they're undecided at this point, they may just abstain, or speak out at the last minute.

13. Yes, and it's called
Diebold. Without Diebold, we would not be in this situation. An idealogue has been nominated to the SCOTUS by an illegitimate POTUS and a Congress dominated by the same party. Alito, in effect, is being rammed down the throats of the American People, just like George W. Bush was rammed down our throats.

That is what is wrong with the system. It works just fine when the democracy is real and the representatives do indeed represent the people.

7. It is frustrating -- Step One should be battling the Republicans
It's frustrating that we are having to pour all this energy into just getting the Democrats to support the basic position they should automatically be supporting.

10. Senators Oppose Alito and Filibuster
That's the headline here (article from earlier today):

http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/mld/myrtlebeachonline/news/nation/13745604.htm

Evidently they don't understand what opposition means.

Why do we have to beg Democrats to give it their all to protect our interests?

14. Oh exactly
I was going to post a thing about at LEAST with Cindy Sheehan as a senator you wouldn't have to worry about her vote or beg her to do the right thing. Her politics and if she's electable is a whole another debate. But YEAH that's how bad it is-that they could listen to KERRY who dammit is the real president-and Kennedy and not be MOVED. Who the hell are these people?

17. In a democracy WE THE PEOPLE are supposed to be represented
why should *WE* have to be begged to participate?

"Democracy is not a spectator sport." This is how it's supposed to work. I'm not pissed, I'm encouraged!
