How long before Republicans begin blaming Dems for Iraq?
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 09:45 AM by MJDuncan1982
I've always felt that the silver lining around the dark cloud that was the Bush win and Republican congressional wins was that they, and they alone, owned Iraq.

So...how long before they begin to blame the Democrats for the failures? And I'm talking strategy, not an increase in attacks on us because terrorists wanted Dems to win. When are our Iraq policies going to be blamed on Dems?

(edit: Ooops...I AM talking strategy...typo.)

2. They already are, after a fashion
With the claim that Dems don't have a unified plan on Iraq. And of course the fact that we didn't blow fallujah and other cities off the face of the earth is due to political correctness, which is also our fault.

I suspect if numbers of troops drop, and there continue to be attacks, that will be blamed on Liberal weakness.

4. Oh please...
Iraq had WMD's BECAUSE Bill Clinton got a blow job. Don't you know ANYTHING? The grownups had to drive the bus and clear the terraists out of there so they didn't have to fight them over here. OF COURSE Iraq is the Dems' fault!

8. They started blaming Clinton as soon as things turned sour.
It was Bill Clinton's intelligence services.
America went in with Bill Clinton's and
Gen. Shinseki's military. And so on.

Yes, the neocons say this out loud.

15. January 3, 2007 if not before.
They'll probably say that the Democrats are taking over
without a coherent plan. Some Repubs will also say
that talk of withdrawl gives the insurgents hope that
time is on their side.
