I wish that Max Cleland would run for Senate again in '08
Thinking ahead to the '08 Senate elections, I think if he ran Max Cleland would be our strongest candidate up against Saxby Chamblis in 2008. As you will recall Saxby beat Cleland narrowly in 2002 in the hysteria following 9/11 and also by attacking a man who lost both legs and one arm in Vietnam as being soft on national security. I think the political climate has changed and people are more aware than they were in '02, and if Max Cleland decided to run I would contribute to his campaign.

Just a thought.

1. the problem with that is
the country got smarter, but Georgia got dumber.

we are almost dominated by Republicans here: governor, lt. gov., both senators, etc.

And Zell Miller is still on the loose.

3. I think Max is soured on the whole process
and for good reason.

I would like to see him in an appointed position, relating to the military.

Less pressure on HIM, and who better to serve in that capacity ?
