4. I know! This is actually funny. Ihate to turn off the Situation Room. I'm
waiting for Jack to read the emails, but I also hate to miss the comedy on the the Senate floor. It's rare they have such activity.

Republicans tried to pull a power-play, ala earlier in this Congress. Good ol' Kent Conrad shut it down damned quickly by threatening to withdraw support for all unanimous request motions, the so-called Democratic nuclear option.

It was really tough stuff by the Dems. If anybody doubts that the Democrats are back in charge right now, let them read this thread
