1. I predict Evan Bayh will vote to oppose Judge Alito.
His old man's probably on the phone now reminding him of how things were done in the Johnson years with Haynesworth and Carswell, etc.

Bayh's seat is probably safe and his presidential coffers are filling up nicely. He has little to lose in standing up against a right-wing nutcase like Alito.
