and, yes, it's the media that is not being truthful (AGAIN). The death squads (and today's mass kidnapping) are the work of militia members that have joined the police. Then they are trained by our soldiers and given guns and ammo and transport (and they don't get stopped at the checkpoints so they can go anywhere). Then they go out and murder and kidnap people from the other side of their civil war. And sometimes our troops.

It's hard to "stand up" an police force and army that will oppose violence and chaos and who will impose one law for everyone when it's the very police units who are the doing the violence and breaking the law. going to be very hard for us to "stand down" or even measure progress.
