Dear Friends,

You have done amazing work. The energy that you have put into this citizen lobbying effort is unprecedented. You have transformed this easy win for Republicans into a battle they can't ignore. You have signaled to our leaders that this is not an ordinary vote, but a litmus test of legitimacy.

We need to keep the pressure on. If voice mailboxes are full, or circuits are busy, use fax if possible!

Below is a reiteration of resources we've sent you previously. Take a few minutes and speak out again. It's working!

Thank you for all your efforts,

Bill Moyer
Executive Director,
Backbone Campaign

If you do want to try calling by voice line, call the Capitol toll free at 888-355-3588 or 888-818-6641.

OR, look up any Senator's District Office number here:
http://www.congress.org/congressorg/directory/congdir.tt?command=congdir

Every local and fax number is included in this master list, as well as notes on where the Senators stand on filibuster: http://www.nocrony.com/master_senate_phones.txt

Many voice mailboxes for Senators are full now (in fact, many were on Thursday and Friday!) This is an indicator of the volume of response, which is good--but we need to keep communicating. Send faxes now. Click here to use the People for the American Way online fax service. Or use the fax numbers below. DO IT NOW!

Messages: No is meaningless without filibuster! If you won't filibuster, get out of the way! Our balance of powers is endangered!
