Well HOLY SHI'ITE color me amazed!!!
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 10:56 PM by LynnTheDem
My daddy-in-law was on the phone; he's been Republican since the day he emerged from the womb in the North Dakota cold. Last time I spoke with him was also on the phone, 3 years ago...he in Spokane, WA and me in Texas. And he hung up on me.

Tonight he called to apologize for doing that, and said "the bright side of it all, you sure can tell me now "told you so!".

I laughed, and I forgave.

And tomorrow the soldier-hubby & his unit are supposed to be leaving the quagmire for Ft Hood, Texas. Then come January he should be retired from the military.

For good.

YESSSSS!!!

Rest in peace, all those who did not make it back alive from bush's bullshit, and all those who won't. And may their loved ones find peace over time for what bush & his America have done.

16. He said he'd felt bad since he'd done it, but that I'd made him
start thinking & paying attention. Then he felt I wouldn't wanna hear from him, apology or not. I think it did take guts for him, I do appreciate that. It really had been hovering over me, his anger at me, and it feels like a great weight has been lifted. :) :) :)

32. Ummmm... one small point you might should know....
"Bless your heart" is often used by "proper" southern women as a way to say "f*ck you"....

I'm sure it won't be interpreted that way in this post by LTD... just thought I would point that out for your future reference. :)

35. I am not a proper southern woman. I'm a Gay, White, Male that lived in
Texas for 15-16 years and when I say "bless your heart," I mean it. When I say "fuck you," I mean that also. And I mean bless your heart and all the best.

Thank goodness on all fronts.

So pleased your voice of truth has at long last gotten acknowledged by your DH's family.

Even more pleased that your husband can be free.

Thanks for all your relentless truth telling.

You deserve great happiness and I'm wishing that for you and your family.

we won't get to savour your disgust for RWnuts (the stupidest MFers in the planet!) anymore. i mean, all this love and forgiveness is really great, and its wonderful that your guy is getting out of that hellhole, but i hope that won't dilute your angst! DU would be so much poorer without LTD's hilarious, accurate, and concise 'up yours' to all the rightwingnuts out there.
