Schumer Praises 50 State Strategy
At Kos, he wrote:

On behalf of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, I want to personally thank the DailyKos community -- and the entire netroots -- for your support, energy, and hard work during this election. Together, we have achieved a historic victory. The tireless efforts of the blogosphere helped propel us over the top in states like Virginia and Montana - the very seats that captured the Senate majority.

There is no question that the outcome of this election proves what we can accomplish when we work together. Your early advocacy for candidates like Jon Tester and Jim Webb raised their national profile and their financial base, paving the way to coordinated efforts that led to victory. This was a devastating one-two punch that can be repeated across the country in 2008........

Your efforts, combined with the DNC's 50-state strategy, is creating a political environment that is one of the best Democrats have seen in decades. Our bench of candidates is growing, our state parties are becoming stronger, and our prospects for growing our majority look brighter everyday.

I want to thank all of you again. Victory would not have been possible without you.

2. Day late. Dollar Short....But I'll TAKE it!
You're welcome, Mr. Schumer!

The lesson learned should be that as a constituency, the "bloggers",
who use "the internets" and use "the Google", KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON.

We instantaneously reward and punish our representatives accordingly,
with MONEY, via THE INTERNETS.

And when they called, I told them, "Take NOTES! I DON'T give money to
the DLC, the DSCC or the DCCC! I give to the DNC. Take NOTES"

Before this year, I don't think they had heard that.

In Michigan, Senator Levin, who VOTES as a DEMOCRAT should, received almost
TEN PERCENT MORE VOTES than did Debbie Stabenow, who VOTES like a TORTURE-
LOVING CRAZY PERSON, who doesn't believe that middle-class people should be
able to declare bankruptcy unless they lose their jobs.

That TEN PERCENT indicates the number of people who are not just WATCHING,
but are, in FACT, FED UP with DLC democrats voting the corporate line when
they are told to.

I think they are figuring this out!

WE ARE WATCHING! We are DONATING. We are VOTING.

WE, the PEOPLE.

4. Glad to see this. There ought to be enough credit for all to take a piece.
It was the DNC, DSCC, DCC, the bloggers, the grassroots activists, GOTVer's and the actual voters that all contributed to the victory. No need to point fingers or hog the credit.

5. Good on Him...to get the message and throw some Kudo's our way.
Let's hope this is a start of a better relationship with the Dem Establishment who has ignored us out here in the Netroots for years.

 Chuck!

"Next cycle there are even more races that will benefit from the 50 state strategy because so many of the Republicans are up in deep red states."

7. Well then...
Must have been some very heavy duty feedback from the folks in the field.

Nice to know democracy works at all levels.

Thank you Dr. Dean for showing voters all over the country the respect of asking for their vote.

9. Tester & Webb for sure...
Virginia is close enough and big enough to get attention, even if negative. Montana is way out there, .5 million people but what a Democratic Party. The Governor is a reflection of a strong party obviously and the party was right there fighting to make sure that Tester took it without any b.s. I like that ruling form the MT Secretary of State's office - "no recount, so sorry." Its about time one of thse went our way. Both senators will offer a lot. h

11. Schumer is talking out of both sides of his mouth
Here's a tidbit from an interview:

"“Fifty-state is a good thing to do, but it didn’t help us in this election,” said Mr. Schumer. “My only disagreement with Howard is that he should help us fund taking back the majority, because it would make a difference with things like the Supreme Court. And he came through—he ended up giving us $7.5 million. We tried the honey approach rather than the vinegar approach, and it worked.”

Talk about damning with faint praise.
