No robot calls harangue me about voting, and which way to go. My answering machine sits idle and unblinking. I've eaten uninterrupted meals for a week now. It's very strange.

I remember how thrilled I was the first one I got--it was from President Clinton! Now like so much in this age, just junk e-mail. We need a phone that can be programmed to stop robocalls before my phone rings.
