Randi is talking about the kidnapped soldier in Sadr City. Bush* |

seems like, has abandoned him, isn't even looking for him, isn't trying to buy him back. The soldier is an Iraqi American, so maybe that's why shrub could care less, but it's unprecedented that we would abandon a soldier.

3. when is a beligerent soldier "kidnapped" rather than captured...? |
|
Kidnapping is a criminal act. Capturing a member of an occupying army is a legitimate military action.

4. Bush had to stop searching for him on the orders of Al-Maliki, Iraqi PM |
|
That's a measure of how futile our presence in Iraq is. The Prime Minister doesn't want US troops searching neighborhoods where Shia militias are strong because they are stronger than his own army and he fears for his life. So he calls Bush and Bush has to personally call off the search by our Army for an American citizen and soldier who is presumed to be still alive. That's a new definition for IMPOTENCE.
We just need to face facts and get out of there before WORSE happens.

6. What I wonder is how this went over with the troops. No way to |
|
instill confidence or loyalty. Missing troop? Tough shit. You shouldn't have joined, if you weren't prepared for the sacrifice. This seems to be the Republican stance. Fuck the troops, they're volunteers who no one gives a shit about. Explain to me again why the military supports this Piece of Shit in Chief and his Repugnant Party?

8. From the beginning when I heard of this incident, I wondered |
|
if this was a staged kidnapping/capture in order for him to go AWOL and be with his family. Not that I'd blame him. I think it's certainly a plausible scenario and may be why they're not overly concerned.
