Man this is gonna git ugly.
The Democratic win is only the beginning of the fall of the bush empire, they are wounded, but they are still here and in charge and insane, this bullshit is going to get real, real nasty in so many ways. Whistles will be blown, old skeletons will come out of their closets, grudges will be held and acted upon, rats will jump ship, finks will drop dimes, heads will roll, shit will roll down hill, books will be written, the disgruntled former employees will come back heavily armed, the chickens will come home to roast.

We should all just try to keep frosty and brace ourselves for two years of absolute insanity and chaos, as in, we ain't seen nothin' yet brothers and sisters.

15. Here's my theory.
Jeb was always the favored son. Poppy now realizes Georgie has fucked things up so badly that Jeb's presidential aspirations are seriously threatened. (Much worse than that, IMO... nobody named Bush will ever be elected to national office for a long, long time.)

Anyway, Poppy has had it with Georgie and has sent Baker in to try to clean things up as much as possible so Jeb has a shot in 2008. This means Cheney's influence has gone from great to zero, and Baker will be running things for the next two years. Poppy and Baker may have gone so far as to have some chats with the congressional rethugs to clue them in: we (Baker and Poppy) are now in charge. You take orders from us from now on.

All in all, a much better situation for the country than with Cheney and the neocons in charge. But the dems had better understand who's really in charge now, or the rethugs will take over again in 2008.

Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 05:53 PM by DearAbby
how people not elected can come in and take control? Where is the outrage! Something of this nature should never be allowed to happen, yet it has, and America remains silent. Don't get me wrong, I am glad for the intervention, but the idea of powerful people, can walk into the office of the president and say "We're doing things our way from now on" :wow:

45. The only thing amazing about this situation
Is that the shadow powers have allowed themselves to become so visible. This state of affairs has been normal for decades now, but usually they do a much better job of maintaining the fiction of "elected power". The fact that we can see movement behind the curtain demonstrates just how badly little Georgie has screwed up.

For those who don't know the story, Hinkley's brother Scott was supposed to have dinner with Neil the night before the assassination attempt. The story died really fast.
