Levin's not buying it...
Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 05:50 PM by Texas Explorer
Sen. Carl Levin, the incoming Chair of the Armed Services Commitee is saying on CNN that he isn't buying Gen. Abizaid's testimony, calling it a "stay the course" strategy that has been proven not to work.

Edited to add: Good for him!

2. Of course not.
Abizaid's changed his answer numerous times on whether or not we need more troops in Iraq. And within two minutes of testimony.

4. I noticed that too during his testimony broadcast this morning.
One minute he said we need to maintain current troop levels and the next he said we need to increase the number of troops in order to speed up training of the Iraqi Security Forces.

6. They asked Abizaid - was Shinseki right that we needed so
many more troops? And he gave one of the most evasive answers I have heard yet.

And I believe it was Grahmn that hammered him, too. He asked good questions.

Levin is good - I wish I heard him ask some of those questions.

7. I hope this is rerun later on
I just saw a little of it.

Levin is going to be a good chairman.
