Poll question: If Dean left the DNC, would you support his nomination for PREZ in 2008? |
This ain't gonna happen- Dean is really in an unassailable position, here. Carville's biting on granite.
But, let's say Dean just got sick of the garbage, quit, and took another run at it. Would you support his nomination for 2008?

2. I have the same answer I had in 2004 |
I would not support him in the primary as long as there was a candidate who was further to the left in the race. But if he won the nomination I would work my butt off to get him elected. Same for any Dem.

I don't think they'd both run at the same time.

I might be wrong, but I don't think Gore would take anything other than top billing...and rightfully so...I can see H. Clinton accepting the VP before Gore would (she may realize she's unelectable, but still want to set a historic precedent for women)...I think for Gore to be in the race, it will have to be all or nothing. Unless the POTUS assured Gore that he could go all out, no questions asked, on environmental issues.

8. Of course not! He can't win! |
Just because he's good at leading Dems doesn't mean Republicans and Independants will vote for. (And if you know the math, you know just Dems alone aren't enough to win a Presidential election.)

and I know others who do as well. Dean had a grassroots, populist campaign that was drowned in the bathtub by the M$M. He spoke the truth, and I think he'd appeal to alot of people if the DLC'ers would stop the smear campaign.

if he made a run at it again, I would just have to put my support and $$ where it would be most practical to do so. Unfortunately, I think Dean is unelectable....in this century.

12. You bet your ass I would |
but the DLC would sabotage his run in the primaries just like they did in 2004. If they can't get anything new, they'll send another copy of that cherrypicked "scream" video out to the mass media.

Politically, I really love the guy. But I don't know if he's electable, or if he's suitable for the WH. However, I feel he's got a lot of talent, and he'll put his mark on history elsewhere for sure. I'd love to see him sink his teeth into universal health care.
