Want to know who Carville is working for? Follow the money...
Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 06:54 PM by Bleachers7
This is all from Open Secrets. Carvile has given:

$6,000 Hillary
$4,000 Rahm
$1,000 Gore
$1,000 Bill Clinton
$1,000 Sheldon Whitehouse
$1,000 Zell Miller 11/2/00 which was refunded 11/01

So what does this tell us? Carville is the puppet of Hillary and Rahm. He knows that he won't get a lucrative consulting deal from the DNC for 2008 if Dean is in charge, so he attacks Dean now. Carville cares about his salary more than the country and the party.

Also, Carville gave just as much to Zell in 2000 as he did to Gore. Says a lot about Carville's priorities.

14. He's not running for president in 2008
and as DNC does not have a dog in the hunt. No one is "threatened" by Dean. He's doing a fine job, and let's leave it at that.

17. Dean is not a Clinton loyalist
They want a Clinton loyalist in the DNC Chairman's seat when Hillary runs not a guy with ties to Al Gore.

20. Not quite -- but close
Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 08:50 PM by Morgana LaFey
They don't want to cede power to the people, and that's what Dean's all about, always has been. They want to keep power within the Washington establishment (them), and not let regular everyday Americans be able to vote them out, or vote others in, etc. THey want to control who runs and how, who gets money and where that money came from to start with, etc., etc. And of course the whole agenda.

Dean is THE big spoiler for all that. He's out there building a grassroots, netroots party, for heaven's sake, and THAT is worse than disloyalty: that's treason. THAT gives away the keys to the kingdom (to the people).

3. So what does this tell us?
Uh, that he chooses who he wants to support, just like you I guess. Doesn't make him a puppet.

The people who pay him do so cause they think he is skilled at his job. Seeing as the top politicians hire him that says he must be pretty good.

As to this latest Dean v Carville dispute, I believe Carville is straight with his reasons, right or wrong.

5. The issue he raises had been out in the public for months
Dean refused to see him. Carville feels strong about it, strong enough to take all this flak heading his way. Twist it how you want to I guess.

I think both Dean and Carville are doing what they think is best for the party. Carville doesn't need to attack Dean to get a paycheck that is ludricous.

Dean and others have warned us about guys like Carville. They are spineless snakes that love their DC lifestyle. This is a hit job, not honest criticism.

For someone of his supposed stature, those are some pretty weak donations. I would of thought him to be the type of person that maxed out on a few races.

19. yes. it's time to throw the (&%# "expert" consultants (who always LOSE) under the bus
http://www.mydd.com/story/2006/11/15/162925/71">James Carville's Consultant Con

There are two main reasons why James Carville does not like Howard Dean. The first is that Howard Dean does not trash other Democrats, and Carville prefers Democrats who throw their own party under the bus. The second is that he is a political consultant, and as such many of his friends have gotten rich off of commissions from television advertisements. As far as he is concerned, all donations to all Democratic committees exist so that he and his friends can get richer. Since Howard Dean is spending money on field organizers and grants to state parties, his friends tend to not get rich from the money the DNC raised. This is abhorrent to Carville, since Democratic Party committees exist to make him and his friends rich...

23. Professional consultants are the 5th column
within the Beltway. Just another Beltway Bandit, sucking the blood from anyone who wants to change the system.

The GOP should hire Carville full-time. For the life of me, I could never figure out why the Democrats ever hired him for he very rarely has anything positive to say and portrays Democrats in a bad light.
