Is it conceivable
that some that voted Yes for cloture, will vote NO on Alito?

And forgive me if this is a dumb question, but can't there still be a filibuster?

1. The Repugs have the votes to put Alito in. A "no" vote now on him
is an empty gesture meant to appease us.

3. Not now...
The filibuster was just defeated. Though they could theoretically still vote Alito down. Odds are very much against it.

5. you are watching the
end of the filibuster... If they vote for cloture.. that means that debate is over, and the nomination will be brought up for a vote.

next..
try to convince some Old Line republicans to vote AGAINST this dangerous man (sigh)

6. I suspect that most of them will vote No on Alito (dems anyway)
maybe only 4 will vote yes.

But the filibuster is done, Alito is the newly appointed SCOTUS judge. God help us because no one else will

7. Max had better or he best be stayin in DC.
Thinking we can come up with enough tar for two senators if they come home anytime soon.

The Republicans around here are not happy with Burns and us DEMS are tired of Baucus' DINO games.

Max, you told us you were fighting Alito... now a yes on cloture. Best be following that with a NO on Alito, or you and Burns can do a road show together.
