Deep down, repubs don't like the idea of taking orders from a woman. |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-16-06 12:26 PM by Philosoraptor
They'll never admit it in public, but they hate liberal women in particular, Hillary and Nancy being female enemies numbers one and two.
I also think they think the same way about powerful republican women.
I really do feel that the days of the good ol' white boy network are slowly coming to a close.

You are right. Conservatives believe in the strong father figure family model which is the basis of the patriarchal family, the fuedal society and the master/servant employment model.

I think there's no shortage of old-school chauvinists who'll just say right out they don't think women should be in leadership positions. Essentially I concur, though.
edited to add: concur with your points, not with the chauvinists'!

unless I had a safe word.
But seriously, nobody should like taking orders from anyone. It's a big part of the reason we're in this mess called 2006.

5. no question about it; they want women to stay 'in their place.' same w/ non-whites, |
|
gays, non-christians, etc. their entire ideology is built on a hierarchal system of dominance where the white man is at the top. not very long ago, they were very frank about this, but now that it is not PC they try to cover it up a little, but it is definitely still there. make no mistake.

Funding for birth control? Nope. Women being allowed to make their own decision about their own body? Nope.
But hey, if a guy wants Viagra ...

You can still find a lot of buried resentment of women in a lot of Democratic men as well.

11. Au Contrare, they like taking orders from a woman |
|
But only when she's in full S&M gear, riding crop and whip in hand, and only after they've paid for the pleasure :eyes:
