2. Yes. But now we have our marching orders.
Liberal bloggers should only come out for those who came out for us today. Every body else can go find Abramoff.

5. Horsepucky. 3rd parties simply won't work. We have to work harder.
There's not an easy solution to any of this. Alito, bad as he is, is not the end of the Republic. If the country could survive the Taft-Hughes court, we can survive the Roberts-Alito court. There's hell to pay, but ending the party and hitting the panic button every time we lose a fight isn't a solution.

9.  A backlash is on the horizon. There is no doubt, people.
There is NO EXCUSE for voting to stop debate on the most egregious nominee to the Supreme Court of this land. N O N E

These people *think* that they can come back tomorrow and vote NO on the nomination, and that will *please* the constituency. They are mistaken.

6. I will NOT vote for any Senator who voted for closure --
Cantwell is up for re-election and I'm waiting to see how she voted.

I won't vote DINO and I won't vote GOPig.

10. Has anyone filed for the D primary against Cantwell?
At this point I don't much care WHO runs against her, just that someone DOES run against her. I will NOT support or vote for her again.

I called her office and sent an email this morning. On the phone I got an "I'll pass that along to the Senator", and the email I got in response was her typical "I take my job seriously and will take everything into consideration" type of BS.

Screw her - even if she didn't fully support us she didn't have to work against us. I wonder what Alito told her during their little meeting this morning?
