DON'T F'ING STOP UNTIL 11:30 TOMORROW GODDAMIT! :)
That blunt enough? People obviously weren't reading my other post all the way through.

I'm saying the odds are probably better getting a majority to vote NO than it was to get 41 to vote FILIBUSTER. Why are we giving up the phone campaign? THIS IS WHEN IT SHOULD BE RAMPED UP THE MOST. RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!

When A Death Row Inmate Loses An Appeal does he stop? NO! His lawyers rush out and file the next damn brief.

When the GOP lost one Schiavo ruling after another did they just roll over and die? NO! They rushed out to try and win the next opportunity.

THAT'S WHAT FIGHTERS DO! They fight and fight until NO OPTION IS LEFT. We have one last hurrah. Getting 51 Senators to vote no. Why are we stopping?

I BEG YOU ALL. PLEASE KEEP UP THE FIGHTING UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING!

1. Sorry but that dog is on the way to the vet.
He is 14, has cancer, blind, deaf, and his hips have given out.

Time for the needle.

3. To Those Who Believe That I Say They Were Never Truly Fighting Alito To
begin with.

The resolve to keep Alito off the court should be no less RIGHT NOW than it was yesterday. And if it still IS that important, than keep fighting. For you, for the country. Let the defeatist emotions wait until noon tomorrow. I beg you.

4. There is No Way As Long As You All Keep Up That Attitude.
The odds are better for no votes than it was for the filibuster. Why was everyone so eager to call the last few days for the filibuster but not now for the actual vote? It is completely illogical and it saddens me tremendously.

6. This battle is over
Alito easily has 50 votes. The filibuster was the only realistic way to beat him.

7. BULLSHIT. THIS HAS BETTER ODDS THAN THAT DID.
But fuck it. Everyone wants to turn into weakasses now and count their losses in the 8th inning instead of playing the 9th.

Fuck it. Those with me are with me. Those that aren't aren't. I don't give a fuck. All I know is I'm gonna keep calling whomever I can to help convince them to vote no. I play the 9th fucking inning.

8. They will get more calls and faxes later tonight from me.
But right now, I have to take a lot of deep breaths, a xanax, and go to the gym and work off this anger and aggression. I'm no use to anyone right now. I'm too fucking angry to be polite or coherent or functional.

11. Do the math
There are 55 Repubs and only one of them has come out against him. A few Democrats have already said they are voting for Alito. There was an outside chance that a filibuster could work. He'll be voted in tomorrow. The Repubs don't care if you are angry about it, or don't want it to happen. They have the power and they are going to use it.

10. I'm glad you wrote this!
I had not thought of this.

I remember there were some Senators who said they would vote no on Alito, but yes on cloture...

We should get more than 25 No's on Alito tomorrow.
There is still a chance.

Let's send our OUTRAGE emails to the Aye's and remind them they can still do the right thing and redeem themselves by voting NO on the Alito confirmation tomorrow!

We can still voice our demand to ALL Senators to vote against Alito!

I agree!

We have to win and get the bush regime out. Any thoughts on impeaching Alito after we impeach bush?

14. K&R. Excellent advice. The vote on Alito is still on the table.
And this is the time for action. They don't give up and neither should we. It's just too damned important. Remember today's passionate speech by Ted Kennedy for inspiration. That was amazing and he was absolutely right. This really is the vote of a lifetime, since decisions made by this Supreme Court will affect all Americans for years to come and will have a profound impact on this country's history, as were the judicial examples Kennedy cited.:kick::patriot:

party line as possible (plus a few Republicans).

17. There is no chance for a No vote tomorrow...
None, zilch, nada. There are 50+ Republicans that are going to vote for Alito. You could persuade every Democrat that is currently planning to vote for Alito not to do so, and we still couldn't stop him. The filibuster was not even particularly realistic this time around, but it was the only shot. The Republican Senators do not give a squirt of piss what you or I think, and they are going to confirm Alito tomorrow.

Try to prevent any Democrats from voting for him? Sure, that is a worthy fight and I think it is perhaps possible to turn a few Dem's, but it wouldn't stop Alito from becoming Associate Justice Alito.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but the Republicans are going to put this guy on the Supreme Court, and there is nothing legal that can be done to stop that now.

19. THIS IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE....!!!
amount of problems for Bush in 2006. We all know what the truth is and I still believe in this new age of the blogosphere. We now have learned a lesson about the power of the internet, and did all these petitions/e-mails/phone calls etc too late. We need to focus on protecting the blogs, fighting against voter fraud and fighting the propagandist techniques used against the American people for political gain and influence.

"They" had a head start in the media on this one. Trust me the Dems right now who voted for a vote on Alito did it with a bit of "shock and awe" over the incredible effort of the people to try to fight this. They struggle with the propaganda techniques of the right, and once again although some thought they had lost this battle, it is because they are as stunned as we are that America has become so delusional and a vote in a State election is a vote, no matter how delusional. They are anticipating the inevitable flood of negative ads from the right that only need controversy as a means to lie.

I love this site because not only does it explain almost every technique "they" use. Go to the home page to see what cause the research on this site was done for.

http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/index.html#ind...

I feel we the people are starting to figure it all out and have had enough. Our Senators are used to a legislative atmosphere ruled by these deceptive techniques. Some are beaten down and defeated, they are recovering from the political injuries of the last 3 years. We need to stand behind them in these times and let them know we understand, we forgive them, and we stand behind them for the greater cause of taking back our great nation.

We will NEVER give up!!! We are the people of America and we have had quite enough! Time for the next round, and we will win this time!
