War producing a new wave of wounded and homeless veterans
http://www.thestate.com/mld/state/news/opinion/16023496.htm

The next time you pass a homeless man on the street, you might ask in which war he served. In the next several years, chances are good that he and increasingly she will say Iraq or Afghanistan.

That grim prediction is based in fact:

One in three adult homeless men is a veteran, and 45 percent of those suffer from mental illness , according to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

A recent report in the New England Journal of Medicine ,meanwhile , found that one in four veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan were diagnosed with some kind of mental health problems.

CAN YOU SAY AMERICA IS FACING A TSUNAMI OF HOMELESS VETERANS.

2. Monkeyman it's the trickle before the deluge....
It's a damn shame...this should be another charge against this administration...they wanted to create a war but they intentionally didn't do any planning to take care of these soldiers....I hope Murtha and the Dems try to fix this as quickly as possible..

4. It took ten years to find the Homeless Vietnam Vets
We are finding these kids now. VA own records say 1500 to 2500 homeless from our current war zones. I think that number is much higher
