General John Abizaid is a joke! |
|
It's clear this guy has no grasp on what is going on in Iraq and the civil war we are caught in the middle of. Why can't we get some real experts on Iraq and the Middle East, calling the shots in Iraq? Experts who understand all the cultural, social and political intricacies that are abstractly intertwined to create one of the most complex war chess games ever conceived, that we are obviously losing. Generals like Abizaid have no understanding of these things, yet they make life and death decisions for our troops based on not much more than their simple understanding of a textbook war. And Bush and the press take this crap as gospel!

3. And Joint Chiefs Chairman General Peter Pace is a bigger joke |

Remember when he recently said that Donald Rumsfeld was being guided by the voice of God? http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20061019/pl_afp/usmilitarypolitics_061019193550And don't expect Middle East experts to be on the panel of the Iraq Study Group. There aren't any, unless you count James Baker as one.

He is a Lebanese American and fluent in Arabic.
Just becasue we disagree with his conclusions, it's hard to put down his mid-east comprehension.

He may comprehend the Arab language but he has little comprehension of the situation in Iraq. Just as George Allen who is part Jewish has zero understanding of that part of his background. Just as George Bush (American) has little understanding of most "Americans" struggle to hold down three jobs.

11. The Generals that remain after the Purge follow orders |

from Cheney, who briefs Busholini. Busholini who is supposed to be CIC says he follows what the Generals recommend. Follow this line of BS?
Victory is required. Iraq must be subdued for the oil, water and geographical military positioning. It does not matter how many must die or be maimed in the goal. I predict this course will last for at least another year. The way out is for the Iraqi Govt. to demand that the US/UK Occupation to end, which may happen. The US will tell the Iraqi Govt. to issue the demand and act disappointed at the demand but start the draw down. Enough troops and mercs will stay to guard the oil and the Embassy.
