Boxer sticking up for Reid...GOOD!
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 06:24 PM by Wordie
Reid did the best he could on this. And he voted against cloture. We should support those who supported us.

2. No, he didn't...
I'm sorry, and I'm not flaming you, but he did not do the best he could do... far from it, in fact. But, that's only my opinion.

6. No, he most certainly did not. Kerry & Kennedy did. Not, Reid.

He failed us in a HUGE way.

And, the democratic party betrayed us.

7. Reid should have been organizing this from the beginning
Kerry and Kennedy stepped in to lead the filibuster because the so-called 'leadership' wouldn't do it. Reid was dragged kicking and screaming to the filibuster by Kerry and Kennedy.

8. NO he didn't.

He kept saying the votes weren't there. The votes weren't there. That's not how you motivate your team. Even if you are 0-10 going up against a 10-0 team the coach doesn't give a pep speach in the locker room saying that you are probably going to loose and you don't understand the enthusiasm of the quarterback.

We need a fighter, Reid is not a fighter.

11. He did NOT LEAD. And he didn't get out of the way.
Anti-abortion, from a red state, weasel. He should NOT be the Minority Leader. Sorry. I have had it.

15. I think Reid was choosing his battles. I would have liked more support
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 06:30 PM by Wordie
from him, but he's done a lot of other terrific things, and he voted "NO" on cloture. That's enough for me.

If you want to go after someone (and I can't say I blame you for feeling a need to do that right now - I feel the same), go after the REAL traitors (who voted "Yes" on cloture). Harry may simply have judged the depth of opposition to a filibuster, and acted accordingly. He isn't the one responsible for this, those other guys are. Those Dem-lites.

10. I feel betrayed in a major way...
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 05:52 PM by DearAbby
Totally betrayed. I am so pissed, this shit stops now, no more. I have mentally drawn the line in the sand...no further. I will not support those that will not stand up and vote for me. It is plain and simple as that!

14. He was a pessimist and left the fight to Kerry and Kennedy
What kind of leader is that?
