The hypocrisy of O'Reilly's "culture war"
Bill O'Reilly likes to portray himself as non-partisan, as somebody who is equally critical of the left and the right. However, I find that hard to swallow when he starts talking about his "culture war". Essentially, it's social liberals (who he calls "secular progressives") vs. social conservatives (who he calls "traditionalists"). He tells people that there is no middle ground, and that you MUST take a side in the culture war. Basically, Mr. Non-partisan-fair-and-balanced is saying that if you don't agree with him on social issues, he is declaring WAR on you! He has said he would never go to lunch with an ACLU member, comparing it to eating lunch with a child molester! What bothers me the most about this culture war garbage is the total hypocrisy of it all, and how O'Reilly's followers seem to lap it up.

Personally, I think the idea of a culture war is divisive and juvenile. However, if people like O'Reilly and other social conservatives want it that way, I'll be glad to join the battle..AGAINST THEM!

9. Well as a "traditionalist" this would make sense for O'liely to be harassing
women like this. He's just upholding the sense of entitlement that comes with his status as king patriarch. Come on either you are with the Falafel or you are against it. There is no in between. I mean what else could be done with falafel? This is war. And I'd like to say it ain't no joke but its just too damn ironic.

3. "Likes to portray himself as non-partisan"
And two minutes of watching him do his program demonstrates clearly that he is more deluded than Joe Isuzu. (A quarter for anyone who remembers those car commercials :hi: )

7. You have to keep in mind
that O'Reilly is primarily an "entertainer" who is out to score ratings for FauxNews and sell his books. He will say almost anything to accomplish this even if it means contradicting himself from something he said the night before (or an earlier segment). After the phone sex issue he was involved with was revealed he basically lost any and all authority he might have had with "moral" issues in my opinion.
I would bet that a good percentage of his audience are critics just seeing what he's up to...
