When and Where did Hillary Say She Was Running? |
|
The only people I've heard insist over and over that she is in the race for 08 is the damned media pundits. Why do you suppose they are intent on shoving Hillary down our throats like this?
I've nothing against or particularly for Hillary at this point over other candidates, but they just cannot seem to get OFF the idea that she's running. I've only heard her deflect the question or say she IS NOT running. Where do the mouthpieces get this idea and why are they 'catapulting the Hillary propaganda' to the extent that they are?

1. I've wondered the same thing |
|
I've never heard her publically say anything about wanting to run. It's funny that the media has her as the front runner. I don't think she would be a front runner. They also call her part of the "far left" when most people know that she is a centrist and too far to the center for many progressives.
Chris Matthews appears to be obsessed with a possible candidacy of Hillary.

5. If Hillary doesn't run, Chris Matthews will be crushed! |

He not only thinks she will run...he constantly talks as if she was already the Democratic nominee!

3. Just more of the RW "creating it's own reality". |
|
The Repubs are just DROOLING over the thought of running against Hillary for Pres, and doing all they can to convince the public that it's a done deal already.

9. This is what I think... |

Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 10:15 AM by Triana
...the Pubes are pushing the Hillary propaganda - because they know she won't win.
Much of it is that Pubes / CONservatives will not vote for a woman for Pres and the rest of the country isn't going to go for that either, because of her 'Bill' baggage, and the fact that too many men in this country hate her with a passion because she defined herself so well and they can't redefine her in their own 'image'. (ie: a woman they can't control). Many non-conservatives might vote for another woman other than Hillary, conservatives will never vote for a woman unless she was someone like Lizzy Dole and probably not even then in great numbers.
Anwyay, I think they know she won't win, so they're shoving her down our throats. Now, when/if she announces she's running, I'd expect them to also be behind it 2000% -- for the same reason.

6. Her campaign offices are still open and running... |
|
and she doesn't face another election for 6 years.
And she has $10M to $12M in campaign contributions that she hasn't said if she is returning them or forwarding them to the DNC.
So, while she hasn't filed even the "exploratory paperwork" yet like McCain has... it's a safe bet that she is running. And I suspect that she is paying for private polling on the issue of her running.
Of course, she could decide not to run if it looked like she couldn't win.

7. She hasn't said so, but it appears obvious |
|
She's ok, but I don't know if the country is ready for her. Too wishy washy on the war and other things. The pukey's would never go for a woman as Pres. and the dems. probably could find a better candidate. IMHO :dem:

There are political/financial benefits to not excluding yourself from a political race. She knows this.
