"Real Time" w/Bill Maher season finale tonight:
Don't miss our Real Time with Bill Maher season finale, Friday at 11 pm – with actor Richard Dreyfuss, activist/musician Tom Morello and correspondent Dana Priest. Plus, via satellite, newsman Dan Rather, and television legend and People for the American Way founder Norman Lear.

5. Who? Maher?
I don't always agree with him but I don't remember him doing this. What I like best about him is that he is not afraid to have his views evolve when facts change. And it seems genuine not calculated. Perhaps he said stupid things about Gore in the past but I can't recall any recently. Maher constantly brings up Global Warming so I can't imagine him being hostile to Gore.

Give him a chance again sometime. His show is one of the very few places where truth is actually spoken on TV like The Daily SHow and Olbermann. When a RW pundit starts spewing bullshit talking points he ridicules them and calls them on their shit. There isn't anyone out there that I like all of the time and agree with all of the time but Maher, he's one of the good guys.

13. he does it almost every show
I can't believe you haven't heard him trash Mr. Gore about his slideshow, and make other inferences about him regarding his sincerity on the issue in years past. And to my knowledge he also has never plugged or mentioned An Inconvenient Truth once for caring about global warming. And I will never forgive him for saying on his new rules a couple of seasons ago that Al Gore is a freak of nature that should have a stake driven through his heart. Even in jest, I think that is just plain over the line.

15. Wow. I don't doubt it

But am still surprised about the comments and that I missed them. I guess I'm just used to having to filter out some of the things he said. He was open-minded about invading Iraq but now he sees what a mistake it was. Before he saw the light I had to just wait but still appreciate other things. How deluded could someone be to say that about Gore especially when you get the importance of the climate issue. Maybe he says that stuff just to appear more independent or get conservative guests which is still not an excuse.

I'll definitely be on the look out for it because I truly, truly love Gore. To not appreciate his work or his eloquent courage at this point is just ignorance.

Gore is the best choice for 2008. The time is his to capture. The moment 2006 was over I changed my avatar to Gore because he is my hope for the future. Clearly you agree.

Is there a Gore forum?

on edit: I found it!

16.  Not in this political system
Maybe in one where his vision would truly be appreciated, but not the one we got now.

6. Gotta love Dreyfus
He's just so smart and passionate and just doesn't give a shit what anybody says about him. Looking at the rest of the lineup I think it will be a really good show.

9. That never happens...
Maher always defends Coulter because she is his friend. Although Richard Belzer ripped into her after her segment last time. It was pretty funny.

10. Belzer was ROUGH!
And I loved it. I'm curious as to why he hasn't been back.. It's his kind of show.

I guess Bill thought he was a bit too hard on the repugs. :eyes:

12. I'm not sure if Belzer is a regular.
But Bill generally has the same group of folks at least once a season. Here's hoping he makes it back.
