Dear Senator Cantwell:

I sat glued to CSpan over the past two hours to watch how the cloture vote would go. I was shocked when you voted for cloture.

It is not enough that you have said you will vote against Samuel Alito's confirmation. So what? Only a filibuster would have saved our great nation from this tragedy. A vote against him is trivial in comparison.

It is with heavy heart that I say I will not support your re-election bid in 2006. I won't vote for your Republican competitor, but I will not support you.

Only a filibuster could have saved our great nation from the tragedy of a Judge Alito on the SCOTUS.

A filibuster would could have served to wake up the poor people who have been bamboozled by GW Bush and his Faux News Media cohorts.

20. Salazar - Once again I apologize for all of Colorado

Our other esteemed Senator Wayne Allard is in lockstep (amazing how that word describes these people so well) doing his leadership's wishes but we expect that. Maybe one day we'll turn CO back blue and vote him out but we're stuck with him and used to his rubberstamp representation.

Then there's Salazar. We had such high hopes for him. We celebrated when he was elected and thought that we were turning the corner. He was even a "moderate" like most people said was good for our party. The next thing ya know he's introducing Alberto Gonzalez and even praising him. Since that time it's become apparent that we got suckered into electing a Republican in Dem clothing.

Now that I'm through ranting I'm going to start my letter to my Senator Salazar. I'll be polite but I will point out that I will no longer provide any monetary/campaign support for him and will actively work to find a TRUE Democrat to represent me in Washington.
