Iran Contra Part 2?
Anybody think that Baker and 41's team will get help from Iran and Syria on Iraq in exchange for some back-office dealing, perhaps arms dealing?

1. .... as if arms dealing hasn't been going on all along?
 When I watched "The Lord of War", all I could think about was Poppy and JABIII.

3. They made a deal last summer to help America disengage from Iraq
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 10:55 AM by leveymg
After the locals in a mixed Sunni-Shi'a neighborhood ratted to the Shi'a controlled army, and al-Maliki turned his location over to the American military, the head of al-Qaeda in Iraq was delivered on a platter. Bushco ratched back the bomb Tehran and Damascas rhetoric a few clicks.

Then Israel overdid things quite badly in Lebanon, in an effort to stir things up again. That backfired, quite badly.

That's just part of the back-channel relationship that's been ongoing for a long time. Even the Israelis and Iranians make deals with each other. Very much an on-and-off and on again affair.

4. Anyone think this gang woke up one day in 1993 and decided to STOP armsdealing and
drugdealing and funding terrorist networks just because they were no longer in the White House?

Ever wonder why Clinton chose to close the books on BushInc then, or why he continued covering up when the CIA drugrunning story came out in 1995?
