Bush: "As long as I'm president the troops will stay in Iraq"
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 12:00 PM by happydreams
He said this, or something close to it, awhile ago.

For those wondering how long the war will drag on my answer is as long as Bush is in office, or unless he flip-flops.

Another reason why removing this lunatic from office is imperative.

2. As soon as he is out of office
he should be sent to Iraq to fulfill his Air National Guard obligation that he shunned during Vietnam.

Secretary of Defense." ?? Or something like that?

Lying sack of shit.

8. Yea, but if he doesn't flip-flop impeachment becomes imperative.
Either way the bastard loses.

7. The only way this debacle in Iraq will end is if Congress withdraws funds
which they won't. THAT particular action would tar them all as anti-troop which will be a disaster for their political futures.

Or Bush is removed from office through impeachment.

Anyone else who believes that this occupation can be drawn down or even ended otherwise is fooling themselves.

10. Poor deluded fool
He just doesn't understand, there's a wave coming that's going to drown his entire misadministration. A tsunami that started rolling the seventh of November is building speed and strength, and there's not a damn thing he can do about it.

11. That leaves no choice if you want the "war" to end.
Bush must be removed from office. I don't care how that is achieved just get him out to save our troops from dying for his lies.

17. Republicans should be the ones most anxious to impeach
He is utterly out of control, a loose cannon. Just look at what he said in Vietnam.

The guy is an embarrassment to their party and our country

31. This is what people need to think about...
...when they talk about "working with" this administration.

I woke up today with the number 58,000 running through my head, the approximate number of our troops killed in Vietnam, if I recall correctly, and wondering what the final tally will be before we end our presence in Iraq.

I'm wondering what Nancy Pelosi and her people plan to do after they take care of the minimum wage, etc. That's all important, but we have a moral imperative to act quickly on Iraq. Dennis Kucinich has been talking his plan for withdrawl, in concert with the U.N., for a long time. He is right: Talking to the president is pointless. We need to take the decision away from him, however possible, including impeachment.

In my dreams (I actually had one like this), the Rez is resigning.

Hope springs...

He's going to leave it for the Dems to fix. I don't think he wants to deal with it because he knows there's nothing he can do about it now.

37. That's what I'm thinking. Bush is locked into securing Iraq even
though that will not happen. Securing Iraq is required to keep the Bush Dynasty in power.

but with dubby acting as an obstacle to anythng positive, impeachment may be needed. It can't happen soon enough though.
