|
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 01:28 PM by Texas Explorer
talking about how Nancy Pelosi suffered a "devastating defeat" yesterday when the Dems elected Hoyer over Murtha just because she said she supported Murtha for Majority Leader. It's as if they're saying that it's all over for the new Dem majority just becuase the other guy got the nod.
I hate the MSM.

Look at the last 7 years of their coverage - especially the post 9-11 years.

4. I don't watch cable news much anymore. Maybe once a week when the morons at the gym |
|
put it on the TV. Usually they (customers) have it on "Access Hollywood" and the jerks on the show are screaming at the top of their lungs about some goddamned movie star or TV personality.

8. This is why it's IMPERATIVE that we take back the MEDIA! |
|
This shit will only get worse as the '08 election gets closer. One of the first things the House and Senate should do is go after the media. We must get control of them before the election.
I had to turn the TV OFF today. First it was an orgasm over how WONDERFUL John McCain is and then it was how terrific the repukes are for electing BONER and BLUNT again. Never mind that those 2 are Abramoff buddies and are corrupt as hell. Yet they had an endless conniption fit over Murtha and Abscam which took place 24 freakin' years ago! I couldn't take their propaganda crap for one more second. It didn't help that my day started at 6:00 A.M. with Brian Lamb reading the NYT hit piece on Pelosi and then he had to play his favorite tape of Pelosi saying how the Democrats are going to clean up the corruption in Congress. Lamb and other hosts have played that same freakin' clip almost every freakin' day since November 7 and I am SICK OF IT! THEN, the SOB had that FREAK on from the American Spectator! It was just another Fascist Friday with Brian Lamb trashing Democrats.
THE MEDIA SUCKS! WE MUST TAKE IT BACK....ASAP!

10. meanwhile over at Newshour (PBS) |
|
They had Barney Franks, who voted for Hoyer and another Dem who voted for Murtha in a discussion. They had ample time to explain that there is really no big war, no big disagreements, and that they know that this will all work out fine. Both told Margaret that they know the media wants to frame everything in terms of a fight, but there really wasn't one.
Then KO on MSNBC pointed out how the media all but ignored Lott's win by one vote while focussing only on the Dems and their so-called battle.
I'm more and more disappointed in CNN lately for their tendency to lean to the right.

in your face bimbo journalists and their directors who wasted a degree or two to push the right wing agenda. Just go up their executive and owner ladder.

14. What else is there to talk about? |
|
They love the scoop in Washington, up on the hill, and love to nurture the story into a full blown counter-offensive, regardless what the story is... Makes good TV for them, and after all isn't that what it is all about? Good TV, trying to get the viewer to keep viewing? :sarcasm:

CNN newsroom receives (and uses) the Fox News directives.
I don't understand why MSNBC (who wants to be a news organization) doesn't start a daily or at least a weekly show exposing MSM lies and spin. It could be modeled after Media Matters - just the facts. No talking heads. Should be a new face - not someone from the MSM. Perhaps even David Brock.

17. On My Imaginary CNN... |
|
There's the discussion about John Boenner and the full story of him doling out tobbacco company money on the House floor right before a critical vote. Next would be the expose into John McCain's role in the Keating 5 and all that money he got. Then on Wolfie's Video Room on Crack I'd have Cliff Schecter go up again Repugnican Andrew Sullivan on the topic of lying in the White House and follow it up with Lou Doobies doing a full hour on the large corporations that make billions off the illegal "aliens" and how the these people are getting richer off the backs of the middle class and poor.
Then I woke up....

Just sent them another email complaining about their carping on the nonexistent feud among Democrats. What's with these people? You'd think Natalie Holloway was hidden in Jack Murtha's office or something. On and on and on and on and on. Finally took the other poster's good advice and turned the damn television off.

in your email to MSNBC. If Rita Cosby gets wind of that, she'll be camped out on poor Murtha's doorstep for the next six weeks.
