Another IN YOUR FACE EXTREMIST move!!! Bush appoints Eric Keroack.
BushCo continues his wild and reckless TOTAL disregard of last Tuesday's message and shoves another far right wing wacko into a position of power! Folks, this Eric Keroack is to helping teens and women as James Watt was to helping the environment. Like a desperate man clinging to a ledge, Bush seems intent to advocate an EXTREMIST agenda no matter how loud the voice of WE THE PEOPLE was on election day. :mad:

Eric Keroack is the medical director of an organization that opposes premarital sex, contraception and abortion. More on the appointment here:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/17/family.planning.ap/index.html

Statement of great concern by by Cecile Richards, President, Planned Parenthood Federation of America:

http://www.plannedparenthood.org/news-articles-press/politics-policy-issues/bush-appointee-10459.htm

I so want to believe that bi-partisanship is possible. But how, despite any of Nancy Pelosi's optimism, can we work together if Bush simply won't stop his far right extremist agenda? He won't stop!!!

Well, at least with control of Congress the DEMS are in a position to pull funding on the school yard bully's programs.

1. Looks like another pandering to the so-called religious right.
<snip>
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Bush administration, to the consternation of its critics, has picked the medical director of an organization that opposes premarital sex, contraception and abortion to lead the office that oversees federally funded teen pregnancy, family planning and abstinence programs.

<snip>
Keroack currently is medical director of A Woman's Concern, a Christian nonprofit. The Dorchester, Massachusetts-based organization runs six centers in the state that offer free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and counseling.

It also works to "help women escape the temptation and violence of abortion," according to its statement of faith. And it opposes contraception, saying its use increases out-of-wedlock pregnancy and abortion rates.

2. "Won't stop"? I don't think he CAN stop. ..
I think he is irredeemably stuck. He is the two year old having the tantrum of the century.
