Media drumming up misinformation on Iraq to keep it going
Since the election in which 'we the people' mandated a deployment from Iraq, the media has been putting administration 'experts' on the news, with varying views on interpretting the results. I saw some where they conclude the people don't really want to leave, but just have a different method for gaining 'victory. So much like Vietnam! They managed to extend that war for over ten years!

1. Remind the media what
happens to people who aid and abet in the commission of war crimes:

2. Are you sure about this mandate?
Murtha courageous call for redeployment back in Nov 2005 brought Iraq out into the open. But Jack didn't win, Steny Hoyer did.

And Hoyer whoever doesn't share in the belief that the people want a rapid redeploymnet, "I believe that a precipitous withdrawal of American forces in Iraq could lead to disaster, spawning a civil war, fostering a haven for terrorists and damaging our nation's security and credibility," he said. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/01/AR2005120101491.html

And I understand why. Sticking to their principles and doing what is right (i.e. pulling out of Iraq ASAP) would be a gift to republicans who could claim for the next 30 years that the Democrats caved into the "terrorists" and allow the Repubs to paint the Dems as weak.

3. Then we have become Republicans
By joining in on dragging this thing out, because of losing political points, is 'staying the course'. What is this 'victory' they are talking about? That is over! Read the history of how Iraq was formed, and the Shia-Sunni division going back over 1000 years. And we didn't lose any points with the people by bailing out on helicopters from Vietnam.
