13. Did you see him in the Dem primaries?
One time, the moderator asked each candidate what their favorite song was. Most responded with standard answers ("Small Town" for Edwards, etc.), then Sharpton said:

"My favorite song is the motto of the Republican Party -- James Brown's 'Talking Loud and Saying Nothing.'"

14. Take the image of the press room from West Wing, and add Sharpton
It would be worth getting up in the morning. :hi:

No, I didn't hear him say that about the song, but that's great.

Dang, I wish I could think that fast!!

Al Sharpton is the Dem's best weapon--it would be neat to use him in a really good position.

15. He's also great with serious stuff.
Another time, he said -- re: gay marriage -- "The government shouldn't be concerned with who is sleeping with who in the bedroom, but whether or not they're eating in the kitchen."

16. What an idea-- a whole dvd of sharpton speeches and bytes!
Sure would spark up a drab and down time!

Wonder who could put that together?

Really, that would be great.

I know he can be serious... some of the things he added to the State of The Black Union this year were tremendous--leaves one gasping.

You can download his Dem convention speech (and many others) for free.

could anyone download those things, and put them on a disk?

Could that be done?

I have his convention speech...and, as I said, the Black Union speech.

I think that's how I"ll use this evening... :)

9. Al Franken would make a better United States Senator from Minnesota
Edited on Sat Nov-18-06 06:00 PM by terrya
Really, santorum was defeated this year. I would love to see slimeball Norm Coleman's sorry right wing Republican ass kicked to the curb in 2008. Franken, I think, could do it.

Either that or senator. Although, being on the radio, he did reach more people.
