Poll question: Why is Leahy hitting them so hard coming right out of the box? |
|
As soon as the electoral smoke cleared, he made clear his intention to restore habeas corpus. He followed that up with a request of Abu Gonzales to cough up the torture memos.
Here's your chance to vote on what you think his motivation is.

Given Bernie Sanders' win as a flaming Liberal, Leahy can feel secure that the good people of Vermont want actual Dems - not triangulatin' "keep your powder dry" types.

Leahy's been consistent throughout his 32 years in the Senate. This doesn't have much to do with Bernie, and Leahy is certainly aware that we, the citizens of Vermont, are foursquare behind him.

14. Winning back the Senate has emboldened him? |
|
I think back to Feingold's statement about not running for President, and how it contained a prominent mention of what he hoped to do with his Senate seat, and I wonder if it's possible that a lot of our long-serving Dems have been holding back a lot of frustration that the new majority has given them an opportunity to vent.
