 The only person I am supporting in 2008 is John Kerry. All the others can kiss my ass. Sadly even Feingold. He did a great thing and supported the filibuster but Kerry is the one who lead the fight.

5. Yes definately. It is the age of smear and they have been..
kicked, scrached and beaten, yet there they were, fighting. I can't think of anything more spiritually inspiring than that.

True heroes of the people.

Alito's 'Murder Board' a Mix of the Legal Elite
Ted Olson, Harriet Miers on rehearsal staff

The National Law Journal
Marcia Coyle
January 30, 2006

The well-handled U.S. Supreme Court nominee is now a fixture in the political process, and much of the credit goes to those so-called murder boards, or preparation sessions for the Senate confirmation hearings.

The lawyers participating on the murder boards represent a mix of government and nongovernment attorneys with backgrounds in the legal areas most likely to interest the senators.

Supreme Court nominee Judge Samuel Alito, who appears headed to near-certain confirmation in the U.S. Senate, was shepherded through all of the murder boards by a team that included Steve Schmidt, special advisor to the president in charge of the White House confirmation team, and Harriet Miers, counsel to the president.

24. God Bless Ted Kennedy ...
... the things that man has endured in his life ... much of it probably at the hands of the BFEE (or some branch of it) ... he could have walked away from public service long ago, and nobody would have faulted him ... and yet he gets up every day and goes to bat for us working schmucks ...

Teddy, you're amazing.

Thank you.

32. Thank you, Stephanie.
It occurs to me that Democrats have warriors, true leaders in principle who stand for the people and the great Constitution of the United States. All the Repubs have are brutes, like the galley slavemasters who whipped and berated the rowers to keep them focused on rowing instead of thinking of higher ideals, to keep their ship on course to its next destination of rape, pillage and plunder.

These two are true patriots. They had to know they'd be fighting an uphill battle, but they took it on anyway and fought to the end for us. Sometimes I think they are the only 2 people in Congress who actually have a clue what the average person's life is like.
