Tell Me if This is Too Harsh to Send to the Turncoat Senators
YOU UNLEASHED ALITO ON ALL OF US AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
STEP DOWN! RESIGN!

WE WILL HAVE YOU TO THANK FOR ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN. WHEN BUSH IS PUT ABOVE THE LAWS THAT YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME WRITING YOU CAN LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND SHRUG AND REALIZE YOUR MISTAKE.

BUT IT IS THE REST OF THIS COUNTRY THAT WILL BE PAYING THE PRICE FOR YOUR MISTAKE.

THIS WAS THE VOTE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD. HOW COULD YOU HAVE POSSIBLY CAVED IN AND ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN.

YOU CAN’T TAKE IT BACK. IT’S TOO LATE. YOUR APOLOGY WON’T BE ACCEPTED. THIS WAS THE VOTE OF YOUR LIFETIME, AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED--AND (WITH AS MUCH RESPECT AS YOU’VE SHOWN US) YOU REALLY MESSED UP!

(is this too strong?)

2. One teensy suggestion...
The all-caps are gonna get it into the circular file before the staffer's eyeballs have even had time to transmit the content to the brain.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

9. I told Cantwell that Randi Rhodes was reading a traitors list
and her name was on that list.

And if Cantwell didn't know who Randi Rhodes is -- Cantwell isn't a real democrat.

Plus she has lost my vote.

11. Perfectly worded - I may copy it. But all CAPS do make it hard to read.
If it is too strong they won't read it and if it isn't strong enough, no deterrence. But the only deterrence left is to support efforts to get them our of office.

Where is the listing of the turncoats?

12. Recommended. "Consequences" for passive aggressive goof balls.
You didn't swear or threaten. You informed them, these are the FACTS.

Excellent. I think I'll get the list and send them this>

My letter to the DNC:

Dear DNC: Today marks the end of the Democratic Party in it's current form. Allowing someone like Alito to go to the court means our party, collectively, stands for nothing (as opposed to those who voted Nay who are responsible adults). Quite frankly I'm ashamed of my party today and wonder how best to see the type of reform necessary.

Please *remove me from all call, fund-raising, and other lists.* I will continue to work for Democratic Presidential and state, local level candidates and give directly to them. I am through with the national party for fear that any support I may give will go to the disgraceful group who betrayed America.

They all need to read Al Gore's Speech of 1/16/06.

14. Don't blame DEAN for arrogant Senate Dems who REFUSE party unity
I will CONTINUE to support the party because it IS turning from a mediocre fundraising apparatus into something more disciplined.

Stop and think; EVERY one of the Democratic Senators who voted FOR cloture (i.e.AGAINST blocking "Elite-o") KNEW that the rank-and-file STRONGLY oppose this "Federalist" freak.

THEY -- and NOT the DNC -- are the problem.

And I can now name 17 Democrats who will more than likely get a credible challenge come primary time. My money might well be going to a challenger.

REWARD those Senators who supportb the grassroots and netroots. The rest we don't need.

13. I'd keep one element all in caps. Every instance of "YOU" in
whatever form (You, Your, You've)

And I'd put a question mark after this: HOW COULD YOU HAVE POSSIBLY CAVED IN AND ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN?

And no, it is NOT Too strong. It's clear, heartfelt, and not profane. You have been quite restrained.

Send it.

15. When you compose this letter to the turncoat Senators
Instead of writing, cut out the letters individually from newspapers and magazines and paste them on all "crookedy". That will make it much more effective.

20. DONE. and i didn't use all caps and i did add the question mark
and now i'll probably be arrested for trying to get democrat senators not to vote against their own party ideals in the future.
