"God Like Productions" has been picked off its platform provider. |
|
Or whatever you call it. If you remember GLP published that insider account of James Baker reading the riot act to Junior Bush. Within days of that publication, their website provider kicked them off and told them that the FBI had been to see them about the GLP site. GLP is threatening to sue their provider. The provider says that GLP was late with their rent, but GLP says that is bullshit and they can prove it. This may be a very interesting development - stay tuned....
Here's the link to GLP - there is nothing there, but a link to the email exchanges that followed GLP's being kicked.

I hope they find a new provider. I'd like to read the story. Is it available elsewhere?

on time and he can prove it. He plans to sue. We'll see. I like GLP, simply for the craziness...

It was pretty revealing and quite humorous...

5. Pity... it was always great entertainment... |
|
plenty of nuts and some good stuff thrown in as well... you'd never quite know what you'd get when you checked it out.
They covered the whole shebang from "Cheney's a lizard person from planet x" to some pretty serious political analysis and gossip.
.....And once again some people are onto this post pdq and setting the context for the rest of us. Who do they think they're kidding ;-)
Best of luck Trinity.

use Network Solutions as a host or a domain registrar.

not trustworthy otherwise?

They still think they are the only ones granted the right to host any webpage or register any domain.
As far as domain registration is concerned, they charge $35.00 for a basic registration that would cost $8.99 with any other registrar. They lower the price to a reasonable fee as long as you pay for their hosting. Basically, extortion.
As for hosting, that site you mentioned is sharing a server with 218,000 other sites. Not even Godaddy is so callous with their customer's sites. When one shares a server with that many sites, one takes the chance that their IP will be blocked by Anti-Spam blacklists, simply by association. In other words, a spammer can share your server IP. That spammer is reported and blocked by anti-spam lists. Your site is on the spam list as well because your site shares the same IP and that spammer.

16. Imagine you're running a legitamate web store like the |
|
the site I work for, MrSolar.com, and someone else on the same server (IP) is caught spamming or otherwise breaking the rules. For a site like ours, that could mean a loss of hundreds/thousands of dollars a day.
I hope your information is dated and that there is a way to protect legitimate sites like ours when another site on the same IP decides to cause it's own demise.

way or the other, but this just doesn't sound "right"...
