Instead of leaving the party, I am going to help take it over.
As soon as I get to a point in my life where I am settled down, I am going to run for precinct chair, or committeeperson, or another position of authority in the local Democratic party. I will also try for local office. Because it starts with me, and it starts locally. This is my party, and I don't get mad, or get even, I get ahead. I have to live with Sam Alito on the court for most of my young adult life because things degenerated to this point, and this must never happen again.

I do think those that turned their backs on US really should NOT be counted on.
We need more who are willing to take storng stands against this REGIME! I also do enbrace the work of www.worldcantwait.net I encourage people together tomorrow eve, for support and rally against the BU**SH** regime, and those that can to head to WDC on Saturday. I know it's Super Bowl weekend but .....

2. That is great!
I can't move to Canada anymore because they are leaning conservative now. We must stay and fight! I find myself becoming more active as my anger and disappointment in my government grows. We need young people like you to take our country back.

4. Best wishes,
Personally, I think the tent may just be too big. I don't have the tolerance to get beat on every issue the way I was beaten today.

I'm thinking maybe it's better to pick one cause, find like minded people and spend what I have left of life working to restoring it to the way it was in my youth.

5. Me too! This country needs us more than ever now.
I'd feel irresponsible if I gave up now.

7. Good luck. Been there, done that.
Precinct chair is a thankless, never-ending job where even great results don't necessarily get you the goal. I've been doing it for five years, and I need to step away from that plate for a while. I live in a blue area of a purple state, and it's shattering to see our little People's Republic doing so nicely and well, but to step across the county or regional lines and see that we're not making a difference state wide. And worse to see it on a national level.

I wish you luck - but be aware that it doesn't necessarily change things. All you can do at the end of the day is say "I tried" and at least in this area, "My voice is silenced."
