Next Installment Of 'Fear Of The Other' Fest Tonight - Iran, The Most Dangerous Nation
9 PM Eastern On Discovery Channel

Actually, it sounds fairly balanced, except for the title. Maybe they left out the question mark at the end.

And for an intravenous hot load of Islamophobia, don't miss Glen Beck's "Exposed: The Extremist Agenda". I'm gonna pass. Think CNN will show "The Power Of Nightmares" later for balance? No, I thought not.

The meme is out, the propaganda bureau is active.

1. I watched Ted Koppel talk about it on The Daily Show.
It actually sounded like it might be pretty good. He sounded like he was going to go into the whole business with the 1953 coup, and into how the Iranian people percieve the US.

FWIW, he was outspokenly critical of Bush in that TDS interview. I would not dismiss the program out of hand.

2. Looking Forward To It. It Appears To Be Fairly Balanced.
My hard on is with the title.

I think I understand the reason for it (a play on the complexity of the relationship), and it may actually pull in a few knuckledraggers for some reality who would not have watched otherwise.

It's just after the last few weeks of the post-election edition of Operation Islamophobia, guess I'm just getting a little sensitive.

3. Title should be: Iran AND the most dangerous nation (the US of A). n/t

4. I watched this last night
and was favorably impressed with its evenhandedness. I think the title is completely misleading. I learned a lot.
