I just read what may be the greatest book dedication ever
The book is called "The Collapse of the Weimar Republic: Political Economy and Crisis" by David Abraham. I took one look at the author's name and I thought "oh, this guy's got to be Jewish". The dedication reads as follows:

"For my parents--- who at Auchwitz end elsewhere suffered the worst consequences of what I can merely write about."

*That* sure puts things into perspective at the beginning of a book, eh? :(
