It's the LEADERSHIP stupid!
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 08:14 PM by MassDemm
I'm telling you, we have the leadership of a spineless jellyfish.

There are ways to gain concensus amongst senators in your own party and Harry Reid and Dick Durbin know exactly what those tactics are.

They chose not to use them. It is 100% their fault.

I have been screaming from the rooftops and it has fallen on deaf ears that the Dems have got to get on the same page. I don't want complete lockstep, but atleast a common message. Is that fuckin possible?

It has been said that Dems stand for nothing. And that is true when you have 44 different voices for selfish reasons.

The party is in disarray. We don't have any ideas because there is no single voice. They're all too busy taking corporate money, fighting amongst themselves and screwing over their god damned base.

I am usually an optimist, even though I complain sometimes and lose hope. I always give the good fight. But am I being taken?

You know, I don't know how I'll feel in a week or after I get involved in another "good fight", but I don't think I will ever ever forget this.

2. We do need to remember this and the thousands of ways SOME Dems have made
this fascist takeover of our country possible. Who voted for Gonzales, et. al. Why didn't the DLC start a movement against the theft of our votes in the LAST THREE ELECTIONS???

Reid has to go as Minority 'leader'. We need a real Leader not a DINO.

5. Can I ask a very simplistic question?
What would happen if all Democratic Congressmen voted against everything the GOP wanted? Logically speaking, what would happen to their elections, to future elections of Democrats, to how much money they would be able to collect for running for office, to how much of what is essential they would be able to bargain on in Congress. What's the answer here?

6. That isn't what I want. I want them to fight the good fight on issues
of grave importance and show some democratic values in stead of falling on their knees everytime they think they might lose a vote.

7. Okay, let's assume they do that....
What will happen if they begin to fight for certain issues? What will happen to their corporate money to run for office? Will any libs be able to ever run for office, given the monstrous amounts of money necessary to run for office in this country? Will the Dems be shut out nearly everything by the all-controlling GOP? I want to know what would happen. I need an explanation of what the aftermath of the Dems fighting for certain issues would be, in this GOP-controlled country and economy.

Or do we just ask them to do it and not give 1 second of worry to what would happen?
