Who's the meanest SOB working as a Democratic operative? |
|
Can we get him/her to set up a war room, and declare political war, 24/7? I wish we had somebody who would make Karl look like the wiener he is.

They've stolen TWO elections.
They illegally wiretap private information.
They can - and do - stoop to any level to "win".

22. Too NICE and always abiding by the "Rules"! |
|
I keep posting that you can't fight an opponent who had a bomb with a stone!
You have to take some plays out of your opponents playbook and yse them on him!
Those are all metaphores but basicly, the Dems have to stop worring about being called names. So WHAT if you call somebody a lier IF THEY ARE! SO WHAT if you call someone a crook IF THEY ARE!
Remember all those damn appologies?
Reid "I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my harsh words."
Durbin "I'm sorry if I offended someone!"
I bitched about those damn appologies then, and I'm doing it again!
AND, I'm tired of everyone here on DU telling me "We aren't Republicans, and we're better than that! BS!!!!!!!
If you're not willing to use equal tactics to defeat your opponent, then get the hell off the field!!!!!

24. I guess my priority would be a media machine, with lightning speed... |
|
with staffers and/or volunteers monitoring media 24/7, and able to respond immediately to Republican spin and to MSM bias. I'd like a communication network to blogs, groups, etc., to back up the response with numbers and loud voices.
I'd like selection and training for TV spokespeople, and for office-holders and candidates when they go on the air. They have to be able to strike their opposite with a viper tongue, and hog the screen.
I'd like young campaign operatives with promise to be identified and groomed. They have to be tough, smart, and ruthless. They have to have vision and be able to strategize.
I'd like people who could be smart and imaginative about choosing candidates. Celebs, sports people, handsome or attractive people -- I don't care. Winners. And they must not give one damn about D.C. cocktail parties. Ideally, they would be true believers, not social climbers.
I'd like somebody in Hollywood, and among liberal business people, to keep that money flowing all the time, not just during a campaign. I'd like political ads run all the time, not just during campaigns.
I'd like to cover all fifty states, and college campuses (like kudzu vines).
I'd like vigilance. I'd like smarts. I'd like extreme dedication. I'd like thinking outside the box. I'd like guts.

23. I Googled "meanest Democrat" and found this |
|
Consider the source.... EDITOR'S NOTE: This piece appeared in the July 9, 2001, issue of National Review Note the date: Any wonder that Leahy got one of those anthrax letters?* The other Vermont senator's no day at the beach. He is Patrick Leahy, and when James Jeffords pulled his big switch, Leahy landed a big job: chairman of the Judiciary Committee. It's a job Leahy has always wanted; and a Republican nightmare has begun.
By consensus — a consensus of Hill Republicans — Pat Leahy is the meanest, most partisan, most ruthless Democrat in the Senate. Ask a Republican about Leahy, and he'll shudder. Then he will say that, though Leahy can be nice and smiling on the surface, underneath he is — take your pick — "a left-wing brute," "nasty," "a pile of pure malice." Republicans are not in complete agreement, however: One says, "He's the most obnoxious in the Senate now that Howard Metzenbaum's gone"; another says, "Nah, he was always worse than Metzenbaum, it's just that the general public didn't know it." Republicans, to a man, swear that they would take Ted Kennedy, Christopher Dodd, Joe Biden, John Kerry — any famously partisan Democrat over Leahy. They were very much hoping that Biden, for example, would resume his chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee; he was chairman, recall, during the years that included the pummeling of Robert Bork and the pummeling of Clarence Thomas. Instead, however, Biden chose the Foreign Relations post, leaving Judiciary to Leahy.

* WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Hoping to find new clues to origins of at least three anthrax-tainted letters sent through the nation's mail system, investigators planned Saturday to study -- in a controlled environment -- a letter they said was similar to others addressed to a U.S. senator and two national media outlets.
Investigators at Fort Detrick, Maryland, said they will proceed carefully to preserve evidence that may be found in the envelope, addressed to Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont.
