17. Unfortunately, the people THINK they want Alito. We're in the minority.
As usual they aren't paying attention and/or have fallen for all of the b.s. from the administration. The media also didn't inform the people.

lol lol. i told my kids this morning about the filibuster, alito and his rulings, and that we might lose. not to be afraid. i am smart and know what is happening and i am taking care of them to make sure they will be ok, on of the things being THEIR EDUCATION. to be informed. our babies will be fine. i was telling oldest, ..... sometimes everything might have to crumble to the ground before we can rebuild with a nice strong foundation...... but by the time he is an adult and has kids, then the world will probably be a lot better place. and i believe.

15. 72-25
Two Repubs that would have voted yes weren't there. One was in an auto accident out of town. Not sure who the Dem was that didn't vote. I'd take his absention as a no.

16. Just kicking this cause people may want to see it...
I am so freaking disappointed in Salazar i could spit. This is the SECOND time he decided to take the cowards way out. He admitted there were "problems" with the election process but would not back Boxer on the objection to Ohio's electoral votes. Now he votes NO on the Alito confirmation but refuses to do the honorable thing and back his party. With friends like him who needs enemies I guess. Talk about a flip-flopper. He may be a nice guy but I'm getting the impression he won't be my choice in the next election. I HOPE A REAL DEMOCRAT RUNS AGAINST HIM IN THE NEXT ELECTION!

18. Maybe Salazar should do what Ben Nighthorse Campbell did.
Get voted into the Senate as a Dem and then become a turncoat.

20. I think he is doing exactly that. Sadly, Nighthorse-Campbell would likely
have been re-elected had he run again anyway. Colorado USED to be a fairly liberal state until all these transplants from everywhere on the face of the earth decided to move here. Why are all the freaking thuglican Californians, New Yorkers, Bostonian and other blue state dwellers moving here? And why can't we close the borders of Colorado to all Texans? They should all be considered illegal aliens as far as I'm concerned!
