Or am I supposed to meet you at the bar and get drunk?

Cause I'm about to.

5. Sure!
We lost another battle....but not the war. Thing is, the Republicans will lose it all eventually. Whatever bogus laws were made, can be unmade. The Republicans can never take the high ground again....we will make our own reality - we can and will change the rules to fit our agenda when the pendulum swings.

What did my Republican neighbors win today? They lost along with us. They haven't figured it out yet, but they will.

But right now... I'm gonna freeze my brain.

Can't take the wimp factor much more.

Wow... just found myself using their terms.

Another Rove victory, no?

13. Yes, I am brave enough
Alito was going to be confirmed one way or another. Even if 41 Democrats had voted against cloture, the Republicans just would have invoked the 'nuclear option' and pushed the vote through. Alito would still have been on the court. What exactly would have been accomplished?

Too many DUers wanted some kind of symbolic stand that wouldn't have accomplished anything. They prefer words rather than action. They like the guy who talks a good game over the guy who actually votes the right way. They love John Edward and revile Joe Lieberman, despite the fact that Edwards often voted more conservatively that Leiberman.
