Hagel: ‘The Time For More Troops Is Past,’ McCain’s Plan Is ‘Not Realistic,’ ‘The Wrong Approach’

Senator Hagel rubs McCain's face in it ...

Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), a prominent conservative member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said today on MSNBC that Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) plan to send 20,000 more troops to Iraq is “not realistic.”

“The time for more troops is past,” he said. “We don’t want to put more troops in now. Even if we had them, that’s the wrong approach.”

"There’s not going to be a military resolution that decides the outcome of Iraq. It will be a political solution. It will include the Iraqi people, countries like Iran, Syria, Jordan and other countries around it.

Redeploy All American troops using robust logistical processes.

Zero presence of American troops or mercenaries ANYWHERE in Iraq.

Apologize to the world for the illegal war of aggression that America's invasion and occupation of Iraq will forever be classified in the history of humanity.

Then, and only then, will America's stature as a legitimate, non-despotic Nation begin to emerge from the ashes of the Bush neoconster regime.

2. "There’s not going to be a military resolution that decides the outcome of Iraq."
No shit.

Gen Clark and Gov Dean have been saying that since before Bush launched his illegal war of aggression and began torturing folk.

6. Here's a better question for Dr. Henry Kissofdeath...
With all the crap those damn neocon fools are stirring up in this Iraq occupation, what does he think our chances of winning a potential conflict in ISRAEL are? More to follow on this topic, after I conduct some solid research. BTW, Bob, I recommended it earlier, now the OP needs a kick

10. "Kissofdeath" once again did his disingenuous criminal double talk as noted in ....

... in to which I responded ....

I agree with you that when folk heard what Kissinger had to say they should have awakened to the reality obvious to many of us before Bush commenced his illegaly planned war of aggression on Iraq -

1. since it was illegal to start, it could never be 'won';

2. invading and occupying would enable the ethnic and religious factions to fission the Nation of Iraq;

3. chaos would be inevitable

4. and if we witnessed a continued expansion of base building in strategic oil and water control sites in Iraq then the real purpose for the illegal planning and illegal invasion were to perpetuate an illegal occupation for purely imperialistic goals.

All three of the above are now fact, not hypothesis.

Thus we will never "win" militarily because that was never the objective. The objective was to occupy territory, control the resources within that territory and have strategic strike capability anywhere in the middle east.

Those objectives have been achieved and criminal Kissinger revealed that once a war monger always a war monger:

Henry Kissinger came out of the woodwork this past weekend and said it in terms that were impossible to misunderstand if you really listened closely. In a television interview the aging assassin and war criminal of yesteryear played a little game of bait and switch. First, he lured the public into a moment of reality by acknowledging that the war against Iraq was “unwinnable.” But then came the zinger: “But” he said as he delivered the follow up punch,

Game.

Set.

But, NOT match, Henry.

In fact, on 7 November 2006 "We the People ..." began the long struggle to restore America by rejecting the role of illegal occupier of Iraq, redeploying our troops as quickly as sound logistical procedures permit, and by beginning a process to hold your kind accountable before the law - US Code and International Law.

7. It aint "if" we cut and run ... it's when.
Iraq will end just like Viet Nam -- with the US creeping out with its tail between its legs. The only question is how many more lives will be lost before (and after) that happens.

And the only people who did not foresee the above as the inevitable result of this criminal incursion are those who deliberately ignored the truth in order to monger war.

9. By the time McCain is finished changing his
positions on everything, he'll realize that he has to change them again. McCain will self destruct in six months at most.
