Honolulu thugs beat the shit out of Bush's WH Travel Director during Bush visit
So Bush stops in Hawaii on the way back from his "Tail Between his Legs" tour in Asia/Australia and chats up the troops, having some non plastic food with them (unlike the Turkey he delivered in Iraq a few years back), but all was not well for the Bush 'pals' the Hawaiians can get their mitts on.

Remember, while Hawaii has a Repig govenor, they still find Bush OFFENSIVE and a wussy, and Hawaiians are wonderful, VERY honest people who don't hold back when they have an opinion, that's why I love them :)

This part is curious, WHY was the road so WET that the officers went DOWN on their bikes? I'd really like to know more about this...

"Though Bush was cheered by troops and others on Oahu — a contrast to the thousands of anti-war demonstrators a day before in Indonesia — his visit wasn't without incident for those around him.

Three police motorcycle officers were injured when they crashed on slick pavement while escorting his motorcade on Tuesday. Two were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where one was described as in serious condition and another was described as stable."

BUT HERE is the KICKER. I'm willing to bet all I have in my wallet that Greg Pitts opened his big fat mouth in a Bar somewhere in Honolulu and got his ass handed to him. Like I used to tell my pal who wanted to go into some of the rougher bars in Hawaii, 'I'll just stand out here in the street and catch your HEAD..'..

Curious. Makes you wonder what kind of greeting Bush would receive if he wasn't surrounded by COPS and TROOPS.. READ ON:

"Also, acting White House Travel Office Director Gregg Pitts was beaten and robbed by at least two men while out in Honolulu Monday night. Pitts suffered head and other injuries in the attack. He was awake and alert but remained behind at a Honolulu hospital because of a possible concussion, White House spokesman Tony Fratto said."

Two bits he didn't get his wallet stolen, anyone wanna bet?

5. Welp, Poppy and Baker are chasing Cheney outta the seat of power.
Maybe a pissed off chap facing possible legal action is trying to send messages that nobody is untouchable? Cheney already shot Baker's brother-in-law. One might wonder if there are any limits at all.

What does ol Dead-eye Dick do with all his time in the bunker? Must have plenty of time to stew and seethe, plot and plan.

2. Two sympathy stories in one day is too much for me to handle.
Wonder why there's a "woe is me" campaign being waged.

Still don't feel sorry for Bushie.

3. Do he Bush "wasn't my fault" and "oops" gene
mutate and infect their staffers? And the poor folks assigned to protect this bunch of monkeys?

This really reminds me of the Three Stooges, except they were pretty nice guys.......

4. "WHY was the road so WET that the officers...
went DOWN on their bikes?"

I thought it rained pretty much every day in Hawaii (at least for a little bit, like in the morning)?

Of course, if you've actually lived there, you would know better than I. It does seem an odd coincidence, two people closely connected with the Dear Leader getting mugged the same day.

6. Well, yeah it does rain usually every day
which to me makes it even more troubling. I'm sure they'd only use Seasoned bikers on the police force and they should be used to that as a matter of routine there -- I rode motorcycles for years and year, skidded down highways sideways in the rain on Norton Commando 750's just for fun, in complete control, and these guys LIVE in Hawaii..

That's what makes it so curious. I wasn't there, but for me all I can think of is that someone MAY have soaked the Street right before they came to ZONK some cops colluding (in their minds) with the Chief Asshole of the Nation..

Maybe a fire main burst and they didn't see it, but this just doesn't sound kosher to me, not at all, and not with my experience in all kinds of weather and terrain.

The Travel Officer was probably Braying about how he was a Big Shot in the Bush admin, and someone let him know that HE and his PAL Bush weren't welcome in these parts :)

Not that I wish a concussion on anyone, but I'm willing to bet the guy had it coming, in the Hawaiians don't take no shit sense..

Like I said, that's why I love them.. if they don't like you they let you know real fast, but if they Love you, you get invited into the Family :)

16. As a former resident and a life long rider, it most likely wasn't water
that caused the spill. Diesel fuel would be a better call. Also the HPD really does train its riders well.

Roads get slick from grime and oil from cars. A light rain and it comes to the surface, making it hard to maintain traction, no matter if its a car or motorcycle. However it rains often enough in Hawaii to stop it from building up.

A couple of tablespoons of desiel in just the right place and no rider could keep a bike up. If there was any kind of spill, espcially in a turn, I could easly see a rider in formation going down and taking another one with him bowling pin style.

Just speculation on my part...

11. You got hills in Hawaii, then you prolly got a few hillbilly bars!
Hillbillies don't like them lying PURDY mouthed fellers from Washington, coming in there for any reason. Buy them a drink of moon shine on me, for being good patriotic Americans.

10. The large drunk polynesian is ALWAYS RIGHT!!!
as long as you are within arms reach. He doesn't care what you are holding (including a gun) or who you are. Agree with him or leave.

Universal Rule.

17. Oh YEAH
I like the t shirt they have here with a white preacher guy in a boiling pot, and two BIG Polynesian guys next to it, and the text reads, "Haole - The Other White Meat!"

You DO NOT mess with them, as you say, they are RIGHT, period.

And I enjoy their sincereity :)

I think this guy was trying to score weed and they at minimum thought he was a cop..

13. I think I do....And I just thought to myself before I read your post whether maybe this "attack" was
Edited on Wed Nov-22-06 06:10 AM by Pachamama
a hate crime and the White House would rather call it a "mugging" instead of a "hate crime against a gay man"... :eyes:

Then again, I checked out what kind of club Bobby G's is, and its got live Reggae.... Maybe he was beat up because someone found out he was with the White House?

15. According to this review the place is full of military guys and pot heads
How much you want to bet it wasn't the pot heads that mugged this guy?

Realizing this was a total sausage fest we decided to leave and go to Bobby G's Spot:

This bar was slightly better but there was a local Regge band playing so the place was packed with military guys and pot-heads. The pot-heads weren't so bad - but I just don't like hanging out with other military guys very much.

Most people who aren't in the military probably wouldn't understand this but those of you who are in know what I'm talking about. Military guys are usually, mostly, "Alpha Male" type guys. Always trying to dominate one another and getting pissed off about the littlest things to appear to be the "better man". When I'm off duty I really just want to chill. I work hard every day and I really don't have the want or need or energy to constantly battle these guys. I think it stems from being a totally different person out of uniform than I am in uniform. Just the way all these guys want to "prove" how much better they are than every other guy just gets on my nerves. I would rather just chill out and meet some nice people and have a generally good time. Another reason I don't like to hang out with other military guys is that I hang out with military guys every day - why would I want to do that on my time off? I have found, however, that I like to hang out with older, married, military guys because they're more mature and have nothing to prove - nor do they try to steal away the girl you're dancing with!
