Christmas tree ornaments in the shape of a handgun - pics

A Christmas tree ornament in the shape of a handgun is suspended by a photographer in front of an Urban Outfitters store in Philadelphia, Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006. The handgun-shaped ornament for sale at Urban Outfitters stores, touted by the retailer as an 'ironic twist' on holiday decorations, is being criticized by community leaders in a city battling a spike in gun violence. The ornament sells for six dollars (4.6 euros). (AP Photo/Matt Rourke)

1. Nothing says "Peace On Earth" like a handgun ornament on your tree.

15. No, no, that's the "piece" of the Lord
As in "Yea and Jesus said unto his diciples, "Mark, hand me thou 9mm and I shalt go forth and put a cap in Satan's ass." And the diciples saw that this was good, and thus did cappeth the evil spirits, in the ass."

I believe the passage is Heston 15:24

20. Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one.
"And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths, and carp and anchovies, and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats and large chu...

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

3. Well, fa la la la la, fuckin' la la la!!! There's the meaning of the season!
Hey, at least they didn't call it a HOLIDAY ornament....Allah forbid they'd dump the word CHRISTMAS in favor of the more generic HOLIDAY when describing that little icon of the season of peace and joy!!!

explaining how he could not have done what it seems everyone thinks he did - which he was, after all, aquitted for.

But since the project was pulled, we won't know, will we.

32. Original Link - I've had the displeasure of meeting the UO people
A more smug group of people you would be hard pressed to find. Looked down their noses at us because we represented a non-profit workforce services org.

Urban Outfitters' edgy sense of humor has drawn fire before. Various groups have protested two T-shirts - one said, "New Mexico, Cleaner Than Regular Mexico," and the other paired a dollar sign with the words "Everyone Loves a Jewish Girl" - and a board game, Ghettopoly, that spoofed Monopoly by featuring crack houses and housing projects.

22. Dangerous rightwing loonies wouldn't shop at Urban Outfitters
I was going to make a dangerous assumption: that because of the name, this store sold "street" wear--the kind you wear if you want everyone to think you're a world-famous rapper even though you can't carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it.

No rightwing loony would shop in a store like that.

Then I went to their website...it's all this preppy stuff.

RW loonies still wouldn't buy these clothes, but I might consider it.

I won't buy the handgun Christmas tree ornament for one simple reason: with seven cats in the house, we don't display a Christmas tree. We had one the first year we were married. We had three kittens and a Christmas tree, and within two hours after putting the tree up we had three Live Kitten Christmas Tree Ornaments. They'd get out of the tree to eat, then go right back in it, and we had to lock them in the bedroom to take the tree down. Now we have huge cats. No Christmas tree for us. Nosirree.

31. No Christmas tree here for the same reason. But last year we got these little fake trees
that are about 15 to 20 inches high. There are tree of them together. We put them on a table with some lights and tinsel and it looked pretty good. No ornaments for our three cats to bat around.
