Did many of you get mailings from your Senators educating you re: Alito?

After listening to Ted Kennedy on the floor today, and browsing through DU threads, I realized that not once did I receive any mailings from my two Dem Senators warning me about the perils of Alito.

Kennedy made an impassioned plea to hold the vote on Alito so that "the people" would have time to learn about and understand the dangers of Alito.

I'm old enough to remember a time when I'd get slammed with info from my Senators and Reps about "political shit," as I thought of it at the time. Long detailed "stuff" about bills and appointments.

Now I only seem to hear from them about re-election and $$$$.

It was the typical pat-on-the-head, "You really don't know what you're talking about, trust me and let us men-folk handle the nasty confusing politics, I believe Sam Alito walks on water and shits gold and I am voting for him so there' reply.

Any 'education' received was from watchdog groups like PFAW and NARAL...plus what I went looking for on my own.
