Alito vote is proof DLC could snatch defeat from jaws of victory |
|
Bush is wildly unpopular and the public is figuring out just how corrupt and destructive the GOP Congress is.
Nonetheless, the corporate-owned democrats have just shown how they can snatch defeat from the jaws of near certain victory in 2006--ignore and insult your base so you demoralize them into inaction, apathy, and hopelessness.
There have been calls for blind unity and cheerleading here, but this is good demonstration of what that would get us--a hat full of shit and a letter asking for another donation.

1. I cant say its "DLC" but the fuckers are dividing the progressive base. |
|
I would even say they turn off "moderates" who like ato see a little "John Wayne" as opposed to Mr. Rogers in their leaders.
These dudes who just want to do whatever Bush says and are so afraid of the media- whoever these guys are, I dont know who they are trying to impress- but it aint working.
THey need to learn that its not about "left vs. moderate"- it is about standing up and fighting. Like Kerry, Clark, Hackett, Kennedy, Dean, etc.

2. I don't have a beef with genuine moderates, but DLC is a different thing |
|
all together.
A moderate has an inclination to try market based solutions, but if it isn't the best way, they will support something else. A moderate prefers less regulation, but if he sees it is necessary, he will support it.
The DLC sees what they are paid to see.

3. Hillary? Biden? Feinstein? |
|
What happened there?
DLC is not the target. Red State America is. And we're not going to be able to bully and badger the voters of those states into changing. We're going to have to present reasoned facts. But I don't think we're up to that sort of prolonged challenge.
