Future Anti-War Protests
Perhaps people protesting the war in the Iraq before it actually began could not have all predicted the outcome, but a relatively small number of likely outcomes could have been foreseen.

Had there been some mass protests with 1/4 of the signs saying something like, "Will this war ignite an Iraqi civil war?", then many people who currently don't vote or who are undecided until shortly before they vote might be impressed.

It's one thing to oppose a war based on general and abstract principles. It's another to raise questions about what might specifically go wrong.

1. My sign said "We will invade and they will resist". Who could have seen it coming?
